Two tight games in Derby today which could've gone either way.
First up were Bramcote who took the lead after a speculative shot deceived Col Murrant in goal. Our lads bounced back in the second half and had the lions share of possession, with Jez Norris notching the equaliser. FT 1-1
Next up were our old friends and rivals, Boston. Another very tight game and with Danny Tempest in excellent form in the Boston goal, the teams went in goalless at half time. Boston opened the scoring in the second half when a shot, saved by Murrant, looped up and back and hit him to rebound into the goal. Paul Blakemore then pulled a goal back for the Strollers, but after a mix up in defence Boston notched their second and winning goal. FT 1-2 At the end of the game the referee made a point of complimenting both teams for the way, and spirit, in which the game was played.
